Our History.

1987

Founding of a Microlinks (PVT) Limited

Sohail Shaikh, now the founder director, formed the company in 1987 based in Qatar.
A former system engineer, Sohail conceived the company as a systems analyst to develop easy-to-use, easy-to-learn, and quick-to-transform applications for business that was not as computer-oriented back in the late 80s.
The company’s initial portfolio consisted of Supply Chain Management application, POS with a paperless back office, Courier Management system, and School Operations, this attracted major clients like Al-Maktab Al-Qatari al Hollandi, Family Food Center, Doha English School, TNT Skypak, DHL, Al Kaharba Al-Mashriq, Hamad General Hospital, Department of Defense (Forces Works Engineering Unit, GHQ Payroll, GHQ Training Unit, and many small businesses).

1990

Company was Growing

In 1990 Microlinks moved the office from Qatar to Dubai UAE and Deployed Retail Management System with Tailors Management System to about a dozen top tailoring businesses in Dubai, developed a Back Office system for the Trans Gulf Refrigerated Trucking company, and Gold Trade Accounting for ARY.
A year later, an opportunity at Karachi Stock Exchange attracted Microlinks to move the head office to Karachi to develop KSE Member’s Backoffice system. The launch of KSE Backoffice is a milestone in the history of KSE, it empowered Members to focus on business and volumes and set the foundation of a paperless clearing and accounting experience.

1994

Growth

In 1994, Shahzad, now CEO, and Adnan Islam (now CEO of another IT Firm) joined the forces taking the application to new heights with the latest technologies to deliver secure three-tier web-based architecture. In 2004 Microlinks expanded its operations to all Pakistan stock exchanges and in 2009 the previously sole proprietor company formally incorporated as Private Limited firm.

4. Leading in Business

Previously KSE now PSX Members back-office, holding the leading position for 30+ years with a satisfied clientele and happy regulators, over the period of years Microlinks added dozens of applications and modules to the back-office making it the only offering in the market with a full suite of applications for stock exchange brokers, investors, clearing houses, and clients.
